Outpatient Treatment Programs for Chemical Dependency and Mental Health Disorders in Chandler, AZ

At Oasis Behavioral Health Hospital, located in Chandler, Arizona, we provide comprehensive outpatient services for people who are struggling with mental health concerns and substance use disorders. Our programs balance flexibility and structure, allowing patients to continue their daily routines while receiving the support they need. We aim to provide compassionate and effective care that empowers our patients to lead healthy, hopeful lives.

About Our Outpatient Programs in Chandler, Arizona

At Oasis Behavioral Health, we offer two levels of outpatient care to meet the varying needs of adolescents and adults. These include partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) and intensive outpatient programs (IOPs). We also offer an intensive outpatient program specifically designed for women.

Patients may transition to an outpatient program after completing a higher level of care, or they may begin their healing journey in a PHP or IOP. Our partial hospitalization programs are ideal for people who can benefit from structured support but do not require round-the-clock supervision. For those who require an even less restrictive level of care, our intensive outpatient programs are a great option.

Those who receive outpatient services at our Arizona hospital benefit from the following key features:

  • Expertise of highly trained professionals
  • Encouragement of peers who have had similar experiences
  • Effectiveness of evidence-based practices
  • Access to medication management services as needed

By integrating these elements into our outpatient programs, we can effectively address the physical, emotional, and social aspects of each patient’s well-being.

Outpatient Programs for Adolescents

At our hospital in Chandler, we are proud to provide high-quality outpatient care for adolescents ages 11-17. We understand that adolescence is a critical stage of growth in a person’s life, and navigating this time can be difficult. Young people face many challenges, including the stresses of school, the struggles of self-discovery, and the complexities of relationships.

In our partial hospitalization program and intensive outpatient program, we strive to create an environment where adolescents can learn more about themselves, improve their relationships with others, and develop healthy coping skills.

Young people may benefit from outpatient care if they don’t require the intensive support of a residential program. Also, if an adolescent completes a residential program, outpatient services can help promote a successful transition back to their home, school, and community. Our partial hospitalization programs and intensive outpatient programs offer a balance of autonomy and accountability that promotes continued success. We have numerous specialty tracks available for outpatient care, including girls-only groups, substance groups, emerging adult groups, mental health groups, and gender identity groups.

We believe that family involvement is essential to the healing process. For this reason, we offer multifamily parenting nights to help families learn about themes discussed in group therapy and discover additional resources available to them.

In our adolescent PHP, patients take part in programming five days a week for five hours each day. We also provide dinner as part of the program so that our patients can focus fully on therapy without the added stress of arranging meals for themselves.

Our adolescent IOP takes place three to five days a week for three hours each day. We also have telehealth options available for this program.

Outpatient Programs for Adults

At our hospital in Arizona, we provide outpatient support for adults age 18 and older. Our outpatient programs can be used as a step-down from inpatient care or for those who do not require the intensive support of a residential program. We offer a partial hospitalization program for adults and several intensive outpatient programs.

Our adult PHP takes place five days a week, during the day, for five hours. Through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), we help patients who are struggling with mental health concerns or substance use disorders develop the skills and strategies they need to live more fulfilling lives. The average length of stay in our PHP is five to 10 days, but each individual’s length of stay is based on their progress.

We have multiple options for our IOP, which takes place three to five days each week, three hours each day. Patients can choose from daytime or nighttime hours, allowing freedom of flexibility to work, attend school, or perform other daily living activities when programming is not in session. In our IOP, we incorporate CBT and, for those who have a substance use disorder diagnosis, elements of the 12-Step recovery model.

Intensive Outpatient Program for Women

At our Chandler hospital, we provide comprehensive care for women in our gender-specific intensive outpatient program. We understand the unique needs of women who are struggling with mental health concerns, and we offer individualized programming to empower our patients to pursue the happy, healthy futures they deserve.

The program is available for women age 18 and older who require structured yet flexible care to help them get on a path to improved well-being. Women in the IOP participate in programming three to five days per week for three hours each day.

During group therapy sessions, patients can learn new skills that promote healing and gain insight into topics like perinatal parenthood, self-care, self-esteem, family and child relationships, postpartum, infertility, grief and loss, stress management, trauma, guilt and shame, substance use and addiction, resilience, coping skills, and work-life balance.

Additional features of our IOP for women include:

  • Evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy
  • Highly skilled staff, including a board-certified therapist and psychiatrist
  • Medication management services as needed

Our team strives to meet women where they are on their healing journeys, helping them access the care they need. For this reason, we offer both in-person and telehealth therapy options.

Virtual Outpatient Support

At Oasis Behavioral Health, we understand that accessing care can be challenging, especially for those who live in distant locations or have limited mobility. To reduce these barriers to care, we offer virtual assessments and virtual intensive outpatient programs. In our virtual IOPs, we serve adolescents ages 11-17 and adults age 18 and older. We also offer a virtual women-only IOP.

Patients who participate in our virtual intensive outpatient programs receive the same high-quality services that are offered in our in-person IOPs. Using telehealth technology, patients can take part in group sessions, develop essential life skills, and receive professional support, all from the comfort of their own home.

Even though patients participate in our outpatient programs in a remote setting, we never want them to feel isolated or alone. That’s why we are committed to creating a nurturing virtual environment where patients can form connections, share experiences, and support each other on their journey toward healing and well-being.

One way we create this sense of community is through group therapy sessions, which are held at least three times per week. In these sessions, licensed therapists teach patients effective skills and techniques for:

  • Regulating emotions
  • Setting healthy boundaries
  • Preventing relapse
  • Identifying triggers
  • Developing coping skills
  • Managing stress levels
  • Addressing feelings of guilt and shame

We also offer weekly experiential therapies, including role-play, music therapy, and arts and crafts, to provide additional avenues for connection and self-expression.

Depending on each patient’s unique needs, we may incorporate evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) into their therapy sessions.

Patients typically take part in our virtual IOP for 12 weeks, but the actual duration depends on individual needs and progress.

By offering virtual intensive outpatient programs and virtual outpatient assessments, we aim to make it easier for individuals to access the support they need.
